Vienna Philharmonic To Perform

Despite ongoing COVID-related restrictions, the Vienna Philharmonic will be the first major international orchestra to perform in Hong Kong since 2020.

According to the South China Morning Post, the ensemble will give two concerts in the city on Oct. 24-25. The Hong Kong performances were “last minute additions” to the Vienna Philharmonic’s Asia tour after the Hong Kong Jockey Club offered to sponsor the appearances.

The Asia tour is being organized by Wu Promotion, a production company based in Beijing. The tour will start in Hong Kong, then travel to Taiwan, where it will perform four times, and then South Korea for concerts in Seoul on Nov. 3-4.
