Billie Eilish Announces Details For ‘Happier Than Ever, The Hometown Encore’
After playing multiple nights at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, in April as part of her 2022 trek, “Happier Than Ever: The World Tour,” Billie Eilish will return to the fabulous venue in December.
The upcoming two shows at the Kia Forums – which are being called “Happier Than Ever, The Hometown Encore” – are scheduled Dec. 15th and 16th. Produced by Live Nation, the performances are the last confirmed in 2022 for the Los Angeles native.
Fans can register for tickets via Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform now through Sunday, Oct. 23 at 11:59 p.m. PT. A presale begins Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. PT, followed by the general onsale Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. PT via BillieEilish.com.
“Happier Than Ever: The World Tour” is named after Eilish’ sophomore album, 2021’s Happier Than Ever, which debuted at No. 1 in the Billboard 200, along with 19 countries across the globe. The 2021 album was nominated for six Grammy Awards including Album of the Year. She also earned a nod for Best Music Film for “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles,” a concert film that featured a blend of live action and animation, with performances of all 16 tracks on the LP filmed at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
In 2020 Eilish took home six Grammys, making her the youngest artist to win in all of the four major categories of Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist with her debut LP, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
She also won Record of the Year in 2021 for the single “Everything I Wanted.”
The most recent box office report submitted to Pollstar for Eilish was two shows at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, Sept. 23-30 that sold a total of 28,869 and grossed $2,890,729 (A#4,213,891).
Her April 6 and 8-9 run at the Forum sold 41,358 tickets and grossed nearly $5.7 million.
