Alex Simmonds Joins TEG Europe
TEG Europe announced the hiring of highly experienced promoter Alex Simmonds as head of UK touring and special projects, as the live entertainment powerhouse continues to grow its UK business.
Simmonds joins TEG after eight years at SJM Concert, where he booked the C2C Country Music Festival and worked with brands such as Disney, Studio Ghibli, BBC, Sony and Amazon on live shows and was the lead live programmer of the Podcast show London.
At TEG, Simmonds will lead the promoting team helping them grow in the UK across all formats of entertainment.
Simmonds has built a reputation for having “eclectic taste in promoting from podcasts to comedy to some of the biggest music acts,” according to the press release from TEG Europe announcing the hiring.

TEG Europe MD Toby Leighton-Pope commented, “we are very excited to have Alex
join the team. I’ve been a big fan of his for a long time and having worked with him booking C2C Festival I know he is going to make a huge contribution to TEG Europe.”
Simmonds added, “I’m thrilled to be joining TEG Europe, Toby and I have been friends for a while and I’m looking forward to working with him and the whole team at TEG.”
Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, TEG launched its European business this summer, amalgamating its UK-based live entertainment, ticketing, venue, digital and data operations based out of Bristol and London.
Shortly after, the company announced, that live music veteran Toby Leighton-Pope joined the newly formed TEG Europe in the position of managing director.
