Ari Lennox Announces ‘age/sex/location’ Tour for 2023
Two months removed from releasing her critically-acclaimed second studio album, “age/sex/location,” Ari Lennox announced a 27-city tour that is set to kick off January 2023.
The 31-year-old star will open the Live Nation-sponsored “age/sex/location” Tour at the House of Blues in Las Vegas on Jan. 26 and will remain on the West Coast through mid-February, including a show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Feb. 1. Other stops include Emo’s Austin in Texas, Terminal 5 in New York and Fillmore New Orleans, and the tour will conclude in Lennox’s hometown of Washington, D.C. at Howard Theatre on March 28. Tickets went on sale this morning and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.
Lennox, a Grammy-nominated rhythm and blues standout on J. Cole’s Dreamville Records label, recently performed along with Summer Walker, Saucy Santana and Joyce Wrice in “A Hot Summer Night in LA” at Crypto.com Arena in June. The ensemble show sold 11,746 tickets and grossed more than $1.16 million, according to Pollstar box office reports.
The young singer-songwriter exploded onto the scene with her EP “Pho” in 2016, and catapulted to success three years later with her debut album, “Shea Butter Baby.”
Shortly after releasing her first studio album, Lennox went on to do what she loved: sing in front of a live audience.
“Performing live is everything to me,” Lenox told Pollstar in 2019. “It’s where I connect the most with my fans, it’s where I give my all and it’s where I’m the most free. I’m also free in the studio, but the two are so important together. What I give in the studio is what I always strive to equally give on stage. And it’s different singing in a room alone to hundreds or sometimes thousands of people.”
