Shania Twain Adds More Dates to ‘Queen of Me’ Tour
Country megastar Shania Twain announced last month she was going on the road in 2023 to celebrate the release of her highly-anticipated album, and that tour just got bigger.
Twain added five dates to her “Queen of Me Tour,” extending it to 48 cities across 54 dates in North America and Europe. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will now include two new U.S. shows in Bethel, New York, and New Orleans, Louisiana. The legendary singer/songwriter also added a stop in Leeds, England, and second nights in Moncton, Canada, and Glasgow, Scotland.
The five-time Grammy Award winner will have Lindsay Ell, Hailey Whitters, Breland, Kelsea Ballerini, Robyn Ottolini, Priscilla Block and Mickey Guyton joining her as supporting acts on select dates.
The tour will kick off in Spokane, Washington, on April 28 and make several stops in her native Canada as well as Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas and Nashville.
Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets for the newly-added North American shows from Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m. local time to Thursday, Dec. 1, at 10 p.m. The general public onsale starts Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets for the previously announced shows are now on sale.
Twain and Live Nation announced that $1 of every ticket purchased for the upcoming tour will be donated to Shania Kids Can, or SKC, an organization established in 2010 that provides services promoting positive change in school-age children’s lives in times of crises and economic hardship.
The queen of country pop began her grand return to the limelight in July with the premiere of her career-spanning documentary “Not Just A Girl” on Netflix and a song of the same name. In September, Twain released the single, “Wake Up Dreaming,” which garnered praise from publications such as “Vulture” and “Rolling Stone.”
Twain then released another track called “Last Day of Summer” in October to build up more anticipation for “Queen of Me,” her sixth studio album and first since 2017. It will mark her debut with her new label partner Republic Nashville, a division of Republic Records, and be released on Feb. 3, 2023.
Twain, one of the all-time best-selling female country artists, made a surprise appearance at Coachella in April during Harry Styles’ set and performed two of her most popular hits: “You’re Still the One” and “Man! I Feel Like a Woman.”
Twain’s 2018 tour “Now,” in support of her 2017 album of the same name, grossed $51.5 million and ranked No. 34 on Pollstar‘s Year End Top 100 Worldwide Tours chart. Her 2015 tour grossed $69 million and ranked No. 19 on that year’s Worldwide Tours chart.
