The Weeknd Takes ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ Stadium Tour International

After wrapping up the North American leg of his “After Hours Til Dawn” global stadium tour with two nights at Southern California’s SoFi Stadium, The Weeknd is ready for more shows. The Canadian superstar announced the next round of dates – routed through UK/Europe and Latin America – with a post on Twitter declaring “LEG TWO IS HERE!” 

The second leg of the “After Hours Til Dawn” tour starts June 10 with a show at Etihad Stadium in  Manchester, England. The itinerary – which includes a mix of arenas and stadiums – includes stops at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden; London Stadium; Stade De France in Paris; Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany; Foro Sol in Mexico City, Mexico; Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Hipódromo de San Isidro in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The last scheduled performance is Oct. 15 at Estadio Bicentenario de La Florida in Santiago, Chile.

The Weeknd will be joined on the European dates by Kaytranada and Mike Dean.

Tickets go on sale for select dates beginning Dec. 2. 

An announcement on The Weeknd’s website explains, “Fans who had tickets for the 2022 After Hours Arena Tour in Europe can register HERE for presale access to the 2023 dates. Please visit this FAQ page for any questions.”
 
The Weeknd had initially planned to play arenas in 2020 in support of his fourth studio album, 2020’s After Hours, but after the tour was postponed to 2021 and then again to early 2022, with the addition of 39 new dates, in October 2021 the singer/producer broke the news that he was nixing the 104-date arena trek in favor of stadiums. A statement at the time noted, “Due to constraints of arenas and the demand for more shows I want to do something bigger and special for you which requires stadiums.”

The first leg of the stadium tour – renamed in honor of his fourth and fifth studio album, 2022’s Dawn FM – took place July 14 through Nov. 27 with stops including New York’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Soldier Field, Detroit’s Ford Field, Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.

Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for the tour include an Aug. 27 show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, that sold 49,227 tickets and grossed nearly $9.6 million.
