A$AP Rocky, Anitta to Perform on Amazon Music Live Series
Amazon Music continues to expand its weekly concert series, adding two additional big-name artists to upcoming shows in December.
The weekly concert series, which streams live after Thursday Night Football and is hosted by Grammy-winning hip hop star 2 Chainz, will feature rapper A$AP Rocky on Dec. 8 and Brazilian pop superstar Anitta, who recently received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, the following the week.
A$AP Rocky traveled with the Red Hot Chili Peppers this year as a supporting act for the band’s international stadium tour, which included a sold-out show in Hamburg, Germany, on July 12 that grossed nearly $3.6 million, according to Pollstar box office reports. Anitta co-hosted the Latin Grammys on Nov. 17 and performed at Coachella in April. She earned a Grammy nomination following the success of her multilingual album Versions of Me, which became the first Brazilian pop album to surpass one billion streams on Spotify.
Amazon Music Live premiered on Oct. 27 and airs live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch to bring music and sports fans together to celebrate the biggest hits in music today. The series’ first performer was Lil Baby, and three-time Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion shined on stage the following week. Other artists featured on Amazon Music Live include Kane Brown and Lil Wayne, and Anuel AA will be the first Latin artist to perform for the streaming giant this Thursday.
The artists perform in front of a live audience in Los Angeles, and fans can access the shows as well as interviews with each performer conducted by 2 Chainz on Prime Video. They can also connect with their favorite musicians via Amazon Music through exclusive podcasts and all-access playlists.
