With a little over two months to go until Pollstar Live! returns to once again unite the live industry, speakers are continuing to be confirmed and new programming announced. The latest panel added to the schedule is “Big In Peoria: The Boutique Boom & the Power of Secondary Market Festivals.”

Speakers on the panel include Laurie Kirby of FestForums Conference, Sam Summers of Hinterland Music Festival, Amy Mendonca of Planet Bluegrass, Rendy Lovelady of PCB Entertainment & Gulf Coast Jam Presented by Jim Beam, and Shay Jasper of Trio Presents, LLC and Roots N Blues Festival.

This panel will examine how festivals with budgets less than half of the major events can still thrill regional fans and turn a profit while ensuring their longevity. It’s still a balancing act in streamlining budgets, selecting the right artists, securing all necessary permits, and overcoming weather issues, but these pros have cracked the code in many ways. Be sure to stop by the panel to learn the speakers’ tips.
