March 15 will see the 18th annual “Music Of” fundraising performances produced by Michael Dorf Presents. Celebrating “The Music Of Paul McCartney,” Allison Russell, Lyle Lovett, Shovels & Rope, Lake Street Drive, Bettye LaVette, Peter Asher, Ingrid Michaelson, Glen Hansard and The Cactus Blossoms will all take the stage at Carnegie Hall.

“What an honor to work with one of the greatest singer/songwriters in history and have him interested in our annual show at Carnegie Hall,” Michael Dorf said in a statement. “We have missed doing this during the pandemic and looking forward to this special night. Of course, we will miss Rita Houston, of WFUV, our long-time MC who passed from a battle of cancer whom we will also be paying tribute this year. Christine Stone, of SiriusXM will be joining us this year.”

The upcoming fundraiser will support music education programs for underserved youth. All profits will be donated towards nonprofit organizations.

Past editions of “Music Of” tributes have highlighted Prince, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin and more. Past years have donated to MUsic Will, Young Audiences NY, FIXS, Church Street School of Music, The Center for Arts Education, D’addario Foundation, Sonic Arts for All, Save the Music, Midori & Friends, Grammy in the Schools, the Orchestra Now and the Newport Jazz Kids.

Tickets for the fundraiser will go on sale starting Dec. 13. VIP packages include afterparty tickets, while presale tickets are currently available.
