Hybrid management and marketing company 88rising has appointed Sameen Singh as chief strategy officer and chief digital officer.

With his new role, Singh will be based in Los Angeles and spearhead the company’s global strategy, orchestrate partnerships, power digital business development and shepherd inorganic growth. He will also facilitate 88rising’s growth as a company by leading the cultivation and execution of strategic initiatives and commercial innovation. Sing will report directly to C.E.0. Sean Miyashiro, who founded the media and music company known to amplify Asian talent and culture.

“I’ve been a day one fan of 88rising so it’s wonderfully thrilling and gratifying to now be a part of it,” Singh said in a statement. “I’m excited to help drive 88rising’s ability to be a multi-dimensional music powerhouse connecting culture forward. The company that Sean has built is truly ahead of its time in the way it speaks to its audience and empowers its artists. I look forward to continuing to push the envelope through creative innovation and risk-taking.”

Prior to his appointment at 88rising, Singh was a chief strategy officer at Create Music Group for two years. He helped create a cross-platform owned-and-operated network of original content and tastemaker brands, accumulating more than 400 million followers and subscribers across social media platforms. Singh, who earned a bachelor’s degree at New York University and an MBA at Stanford, fostered the company’s global expansion and led the introduction of the music industry’s first credit card for artists and creators called Create Carbon. He also led strategy and operations for popular European festivals and concerts at Superstruct Entertainment, a live entertainment company responsible for festivals such as Sziget and Wacken Open Air.
