John Mayer is gearing up to travel across North America with only his acoustic guitar starting this spring. The arena run kicks off at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on March 11 and runs until April 14 with its final show at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum.

The upcoming tour will see Mayer performing primarily with his acoustic guitar, while special performances will include Mayer on piano and electric guitar.

Alec Benjamin will join Mayer on select dates throughout the run, with another special guest to be announced soon.

Mayer performed at numerous arenas last spring, with highlights including two nights at Boston’s TD Garden May 9 and 10, grossing a total of $3.2 million, two nights at Chicago’s United Center on April 28 and 29 grossing $3.6 million and more.

The Live Nation-produced trek comes ahead of Mayer’s final outing with Dead & Co. this summer. Their two shows at Citi Filed in New York on July 15 and 16 brought in a total of $8.1 million, while another two nights at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on June 24 and 25 grossed a total of $7.2 million.

Tickets for Mayer’s upcoming tour go on sale starting Feb. 3 at 9 a.m. local time. Presale tickets run from Feb. 1 at 9 a.m. local through Feb. 2 at 10 p.m. local time. VIP packages will also be available, including premium tickets, exclusive merchandise and more. At each show, charityauctionstoday.com will be auctioning off two pairs of front-row tickets to benefit the Back To You Fund.

Editor’s note: A day after the tour was announced, Lizzy McAlpine broke the news on Twitter that she wouldn’t be joining the tour as a special guest after all. She posted:
“unfortunately, due to a last minute scheduling conflict, i will no longer be able to join
@JohnMayer on his solo acoustic tour 🙁 but i love u all and i’ll see you in april for my headline tour <3″
