Blue Note Jazz Festival announced its return to Napa Valley, California, from July 28-30. The Robert Glasper-curated event takes place at the Silverado Resort with Dave Chappelle returning as co-host.

The full lineup won’t be unveiled until March, but last year included performances from Snoop Dogg, Dinner Party, Madlib, Thundercat, H.E.R., Jennifer Hudson, Common, Killer Mike and more. The festival was inspired by Glasper’s annual residency at the Blue Note jazz club in New York City, where he takes over the venue for the full month of October.

In July, Glasper appeared on the cover of Pollstar to discuss his residency at the Blue Note and the inaugural year of his festival. After consistently selling out every night of his month-long residency at Blue Note’s West Village location, he and his team started to consider having a full-fledged festival.

“They already had a Blue Note Club in Napa, which is why they thought of doing a Napa Valley festival, because they know Napa” Glasper told Pollstar in July. “I was like, ‘Oh, let’s do it.’ And that’s pretty much how it happened. That was the conversation in March at the Blue Note. So that happened pretty quick.”

A limited number of hotel and ticket packages go on sale on Feb. 10 at 9 a.m. PT. Guests will have the opportunity to stay on the festival grounds or snag hotel packages that include a four-night stay at the Silverado Resort along with their three-day festival pass.
