Irving Azoff, Garth Brooks, James Dolan & Former U.S. AAG Makan Delrahim Announced As Speakers for Pollstar Live! Keynote Discussion Panel

The topic of ticketing in live events and sports is hotter than ever and Pollstar Live! will put the subject matter center stage with a keynote discussion panel moderated by Irving Azoff, chairman and CEO of The Azoff Company and co-founder of Pollstar parent company Oak View Group. “Ticketing Real Talk: Reforms, Resolutions and Risks” will feature country superstar Garth Brooks, Executive Chairman and CEO of Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. James Dolan, and former U.S. Assistant Attorney General for the Antitrust Division Makan Delrahim.

The newly announced keynote panel, which takes place Feb. 22 at 9:45 a.m. PT, will look at issues of transparency, the secondary market, and accessibility and affordability for fans.


Details were also recently announced for the keynote conversation “Hands In The Air: 50 Years of Live Hip-Hop,” curated in association with Universal Attractions. The Feb. 22 panel, which starts at 3:45 p.m. PT, features key figures who played critical roles in the genre’s development including hip-hop legends Doug E. Fresh, DJ Quik, Big Daddy Kane, along with lauded promoters Lionel Bea and Darryl Brooks. The panel is moderated by Geoff Walker, who is the co-founder of The Collective Sports & Entertainment Management Group LLC and founder of Kickstand World, LLC. The panel is sure to be as unpredictable and entertaining as the genre itself.

Pollstar Live! 2023 is set for Feb. 21-23 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The conference is the world’s largest gathering of live entertainment professionals and the flagship event for Pollstar magazine, featuring compelling keynotes, panels and roundtables, along with plenty of networking opportunities and the Pollstar Awards celebrating the best in the business.

The conference kicks off with the one-day Production Live! dedicated to topics including lighting, video, staging, stage management, concert productions, regulations, security, travel, tour management and accounting.

Programming for Production Live! features a keynote Q&A: “The Camp Counselor & The Supermensch” with Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp founder/producer Davoid Fishof and legendary manager Shep Gordon, co-founder of Alive Enterprises. Gordon was the focus of the Mike Myers-directory documentary “Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon,” which was followed by the release of Gordon’s memoir, “They Call Me Supermensch: A Backstage Pass to the Amazing Worlds of Film, Food, and Rock ‘n’ Roll.”

Comedian, actress, and author Anjelah Reyes-Johnson will host the 34th annual Pollstar Awards, which honors the most successful artists, executives, venues, events, and companies in the live business. As part of the ceremony Eagles will receive the Pollstar Milestone Award, in recognition of more than 50 years as a band.
