Pentatonix Announce North American Leg Of World Tour
Fresh off becoming the first a cappella group to receive a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, Pentatonix announced a North American tour with special guest Lauren Alaina.
Produced by Live Nation, the 24-city tour kicks off Aug. 9 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, with stops in Toronto, Chicago, Dallas, Irvine and more. All dates below.
The general on sale for Pentatonix’s “The World Tour” will start Monday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. local on Ticketmaster.com, with presales starting Feb. 23.
Since emerging in 2011, Pentatonix have become one of the most innovative vocal groups of all time, releasing a number of successful albums, and earning nominations for Grammys (winning three times), Emmys, and Billboard Music Awards along the way.
The group recently finished their most successful Christmas tour ever, playing to 200,000-plus people across 22 cities. Highlights from Pollstar’s Boxoffice include a sold-out Dec. 8 show at Well Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA, selling 12,180 tickets for a gross of $807,819; a sold-out Dec. 13 concert at the North Charleston Coliseum in SC (7,882 tickets, $533,234 gross); and a sold-out Dec. 22 performance at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT (6,538 tickets, $615,533 gross).
More tour dates in spring and summer across the globe in Singapore, Japan, Australia and Europe will be announced.
