Tank and the Bangas not only dropped a new track today but also unveiled a 19-date tour that runs for two months.

The group will kick off its tour at Tulips in Forth Worth, Texas, and the route includes stops at Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, Portland’s Revolution Hall, Lexington’s The Burl, 1884 Lounge at Memphis and Daze Between New Orleans. Their run ends at FreshGrass / Bentonville, a two-day festival in Arkansas, on May 19.

The new song, “DM Pretty,” is now available on music streaming platforms and from vocalist Tarriona “Tank” Ball’s poetry collection.

“I wrote ‘DM Pretty’ so that women could know that they are beautiful, dope, sexy, smart and obviously pretty,” Ball said in a statement. I also love when people really listen to the poem in its entirety to see why he’s sliding into her DMs. It starts off with a compliment at about 2 a.m. in hopes that charm can get them what they really want but if she already knows that she won’t be so quick to flatter. My hope is that real conversations can happen around this poem and people can truly feel seen through its intent.”

Tank and the Bangas will hit the road coming off the heels of their second Grammy nomination. Their third studio album, Red Balloon, was recently in the running for Best Progressive R&B Album. The group was previously nominated for Best New Artist in 2020.
