Lionel Richie & Earth, Wind & Fire Set Sights On Summer Tour

Lionel Richie is setting out on tour this fall, with special guests Earth, Wind & Fire. The Live Nation-produced run features stops in 20 cities.

Kicking off in St. Paul, Minnesota on Aug. 4, the trek includes stops in Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York City, Atlanta, Austin, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle and more before wrapping up in Los Angeles on Sept. 15.

Last year, Richie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His most recent performances have been a string of residency dates in the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas, as well as a few European dates last summer. Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for Richie include a June 25, 2022, show at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, that sold 7,102 tickets and grossed $720,240.

Earth, Wind & Fire also hit the road for headlining dates of their own last fall. The band grossed more than $1 million for their Nov. 12 date at Plaza De Toros in Mexico City. They also performed on the 21st night of September in Tallahassee, Florida, grossing $187, 780.

Tickets go on sale March 13 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers can get presale access starting March 7 at 10 a.m. local time until March 12 at 10 p.m. local time.
