Peter Gabriel Announces North American Tour Dates

Rock legend Peter Gabriel announced the first dozen dates of a North American leg of his “i/o: The Tour,” with promises more U.S. stops are forthcoming.

After a lengthy run in Europe, the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will cross the Atlantic, beginning the North American stretch at Quebec City’s Videotron Centre Sept. 8. This initial tranche includes stops in Boston, New York and Chicago and wraps at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, Oct. 13. See the full routing below.

Future dates are promised in Washington, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Denver, Austin, Dallas and Houston, according to a release.

Peter’s Fan Club mailing list members will have access to a pre-sale starting March 7. The Citi card pre-sale for U.S. dates runs from 10 a.m. local March 8 through 6 p.m. local March 9. American Express cardholders pre-sale for the Canadian dates follows the same schedule. General on-sale is 10 a.m. local March 10.

Gabriel coheadlined with Sting on the latter’s tour in 2016, but this is his first full-fledged solo trek since 2014. Highlights from that tour include a $1.7 million gross on 17,306 tickets for a May 25, 2014, show at Berlin’s Waldbühne, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports.
