No matter the forecast, the “Sun Is Shining” in the hearts of Bob Marley fans with the news that the official “One Love Experience” has extended its Los Angeles run for another four weeks through May 21. The exhibition dedicated to the life of the legendary musician is hosted at Ovation Hollywood (formerly Hollywood & Highland) and produced by the Marley Family and Terrapin Station Entertainment.

Bob Marley’s “One Love Experience” first launched in London in February 2022 at the Saatchi Gallery, earning glowing reviews from the London Times proclaiming the exhibition was “one for music lovers all of types, not just diehard fans,” and the Evening Standard writing that “you’d need a heart of stone not to feel the love.” After a 10-week stint in the UK, the experience moved on to North America with 16 weeks at the Lighthouse Immersive Artspace in Toronto.

The Los Angeles edition kicked off with a grand opening premier event in January featuring performances from Bob Marley’s grandson and two-time Grammy Award-nominated reggae phenomenon Skip Marley and Universal Canada/Tuff Gong Collective recording artist King Cruff, along with a DJ set from Bob Marley granddaughter Shacia Päyne.

Ovation Hollywood’s 15,000-square foot “One Love Experience” boasts multiple rooms celebrating Marley including One Love Forest taking visitors to Jamaica, complete with a cannabis garden and giant joint; the Soul Shakedown studio with a silent disco offering a curated playlist; and the Next Gen Zone that’s centered around the Marley’s family, legacy, philanthropy and influence. Highlights from the exhibition include exclusive art from Mr. Brainwash, The Postman, Camoworks, Idiotbox, and dozens of other artists. Be sure to check out the One Love Tree and add your own message of love and reflection to one of the tree’s branches. The exhibition also features the entire Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Bob Marley Archive, including previously unseen photographs and rare memorabilia.

Reggae archivist and author Roger Steffens is helping enhance the experience by serving as the “Resident Tour Guide,” with a limited number of slots for his tours available during the weekends.

The party turns up on Fridays with the One Love DJ Night featuring popular DJs from 7 to 10 p.m. The schedule features Jeremy Sole on March 24, Glenn Red on March 31 and Francesca Harding April 7. A special 4/20 party is in the works for April 20.
