Tedeschi Trucks Band Announces Pair Of Garden Parties Arena Shows
Tedeschi Trucks Band is throwing a garden party, but don’t expect croquet and cucumber sandwiches.
The 12-piece ensemble of master musicians – led by husband/wife duo guitarist Derek Trucks and singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi – announced two arena shows dubbed “The Garden Parties” at TD Garden in Boston on Sept. 27 and Madison Square Garden in New York on Sept. 29. With max capacities of 19,580 and 20,0789 respectively, these are the largest venues they have headlined to date.
The ensemble of virtuoso musicians that formed in 2010 has earned a two-time Grammy-winning global reputation for their artistic blend of bona fide rock swatter, blues-fused improvisation, lush jazz mastery and roots music authenticity.
They have built their enthusiastic audience on the road with their annual cross-country summer tour and sold-out multi-night runs at venerable venues including New York’s Beacon Theatre, Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. TTB traditionally plays 100 days a year including Europe and Japan ever other alternating year.
The Garden Parties announcement comes on the heels of the recently expanded summer run of tour dates across the U.S. that kick off with homecoming shows in Jacksonville, Florida, on June 22 at Daily’s Place and a two-night stop in Atlanta, Georgia, June 23 and 24 at the Fox Theatre. The tour includes multi-night performances at Wolf Trap (June 27, 28) in Washington, D.C., and a return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre (July 28, 29).
Joining the caravan for “The Garden Parties“ at TD Garden and MSG are Grammy-award winner Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real.
Tickets for these performances go on sale to the general public Friday, April 7. The fan club presale begins Tuesday, April 4 with the artist, venue, promoter and Chase Bank presales beginning Wednesday, April 5; all sales starting at 10:00 AM/ET. TTB launched their official app powered by 237 Global to provide fans easy access to tour dates and other information about the band.
Since forming, TTB has release eight studio and three live albums, including their Grammy-winning debut Revelator. In 2022, they released their ambitious, four-part I Am the Moon, their first new studio release in three years, featuring 24 songs inspired by a 12th century Persian poem that further elevated them on the creative spectrum.
In January, Pollstar announced that Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks joined Irving and Jeffrey Azoff’s Full Stop Management to oversee their solo endeavors. Kings of Leon manager Andy Mendelsohn and longtime Tedeschi Trucks Band manager Blake Budney of Milestone Music Management direct the band’s ongoing career.
