Tears For Fears Announce ‘The Tipping Point Tour Part II’
Tears for Fears has lots to “Shout” about as the iconic British duo continues celebrating their first album in 18 years and the 40th anniversary of their debut LP, The Hurting. The routing has been unveiled for a North American summer tour that will hit 22 cities from late June through early August with special guest Cold War Kids.
“The Tipping Point Tour Part II” is in support of Tears For Fears’ 2022 release, The Tipping Point, which Pitchfork declared “a strikingly unguarded and forthright record” that “approaches the challenges of middle life with familiar sensitivity and shared intimacy.”
The Live Nation-produced trek launches June 23 in Atlantic City, New Jersey with a show at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena. Stops on the tour include New York’s Madison Square Garden, Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, Kansas City’s Starlight Theatre, Denver’s Ball Arena, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl.
Over the past four decades the New Wave pioneers have sold over 30 million albums worldwide, with singles including “Shout,” “Everybody Wants To Rule The World,” “Mad World,” “Sowing The Seeds Of Love,” and “Woman In Chains.”
Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for Tears For Fears include a June 19, 2022, show at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, that sold 10,974 tickets and grossed $785,309.
Presales for the summer tour are ongoing, with the general onsale beginning Friday, April 7 at 10 a.m. local time. Check out the routing below.
