Sting Bringing ‘My Songs’ World Tour To North America
Legendary musician Sting announced he is expanding his “My Songs” world tour with a North American leg later this year following performances in Japan, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Australia and New Zealand.
The Cherytree Music Company and Live Nation confirmed that the English superstar will open the first leg of his North American run at Budweiser Stage in Toronto on Sept. 5 and make stops in Boston, Vancouver, San Diego, Phoenix and Los Angeles. The announcement only included 10 dates, but more shows are to be announced in Wantagh, Hollywood, Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, Reno, Dallas, Houston and Austin.
The fan presale starts April 12 and the general onsale will begin Friday, April 14, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets can be purchased at sting.com.
Sting, a 17-time Grammy Award winner, will perform tunes from his solo career as well as songs from the iconic band he founded, The Police. The famed artist will be accompanied by a rock ensemble and his son, Joe Sumner, will be a special guest for the newly announced shows.
Since October 1999, Sting has headlined 553 shows, sold 4.78 million tickets and grossed more than $368 million, according to Pollstar box office reports. Has a Las Vegas residency in 2022 at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace and earned $2.28 million from three shows on June 15, 16 and 17.
