Superchunk Announces 8-Date Tour With Cable Ties

Indie rock darlings Superchunk announced they will be on the road this year for eight shows on the East Coast along with Australian trio Cable Ties.

Superchunk, one of the most influential bands to come out of the Chapel Hill music scene in the ‘90s, will open their tour at Richmond Music Hall in Virginia on Sept. 8 and make stops in Baltimore, Ardmore and Hamden before closing out with at Bowery Ballroom in New York. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 14, at 10 a.m. local time.

Coming off a performance at SXSW, Superchunk will be supporting their 2022 acclaimed album Wild Loneliness, which was their first LP since 2018, and assured that more news is “on the horizon.” Cable Ties is a group on the rise in their home country following the release of their third studio album, “All Her Plans,” and will be making their debut in the U.S.

Since 1999, Superchunk has headlined 48 shows, selling 24,606 tickets and grossing nearly $355,000, according to Pollstar box office reports.
