Northstar Artists and SRO Artists are joining forces with the announcement that the agencies are merging into one company under the Northstar Artists banner, effective starting April 12.

SRO Artists, which was founded in 1980 by industry veteran Jeff Laramie, is bringing over its support staff, agent Bill Marquardt and nine artists on its client roster made up of classic rock, world and Americana acts including Get The Led Out, Live From Laurel Canyon, Ray On My Mind, Altan, Mariachi Sol de Mexico, Bone Hill: The Concert, Karla Bonoff, Martha Redbone / Bone Hill, and This Land Is Our Land.

Northstar’s roster has approximately 30 clients including Tab Benoit, Smash Mouth, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Lankum, Tuba Skinny and The Allman Betts Band.

“I’m thrilled that after 43 years of booking talent I can reduce my territory and focus on expanding our artist’s big picture opportunities with Kevin Daly and his talented staff, which includes my friends, Brian Swanson and John Lochen” Laramie said in a statement.

An announcement sent out to SRO’s email list included a note from Laramie that said, “It’s been a great ride for these past four decades but it’s time for me to start taking steps to (eventual) retirement.”

Jeff will service existing SRO contracts while working with Northstar as an RA and consultant.

Marquardt, who will be serving the US Mid-America region as a full time agent at Northstar, can now be reached at 763-999-7700 and [email protected].

“I’ve known and respected Jeff the agent for over thirty years, but through the merger process I’ve gotten to know Jeff the person and have become his biggest fan,” Northstar Artists owner/agent Daly said in a statement.

Laramie points out that some SRO Artists clients are not making the transition to Northstar and “if you are making an inquiry for a new booking for any of the artists NOT making the transition, or have any questions, please contact me at [email protected].” He can also be reached at  608-664-8160 or [email protected] at 763-999-7700.
