Ed Sheeran Announces Intimate ‘-‘ Theater Tour

While Ed Sheeran is out on the road for his stadium tour, the singer/songwriter has announced a round of intimate theater shows coinciding with his upcoming dates called the “-” (pronounced subtract) tour.

Starting on May 19 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida, the newly announced shows stop in 14 cities including Atlanta, Philadelphia, Toronto, Boston, Nashville, Chicago, Denver, Seattle and more before wrapping up at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sept. 22.

The underplays allow for fans to witness Sheeran’s upcoming album, , which will be released on May 5 via Atlantic Records. Ben Kweller will be joining Sheeran on the upcoming trek.

Sheeran’s ongoing tour has been landing him high on Pollstar‘s charts with its high grosses. According to Boxoffice data, he grossed $1.5 million for his show at AO Arena in Manchester on March 23. Earlier this month, he debuted at No. 1 on LIVE75 for the week of the week of April 10 following the second leg of his tour in Oceania launching in early February, which included numerous stadium dates grossing an average of $6.49 million.

Tickets for the upcoming dates will be available through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system. Registration opens April 28 at 10 a.m. ET and closes April 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Verified onsale begins May 2 at 10 a.m. local time.
