Lewis Black Announces Additional Dates to ‘Off the Rails Tour,’ New Comedy Special Titled ‘Tragically, I Need You’

Lewis Black will be doing plenty more rants this year as the comedian known for sharing his frustrations with politics and the world announced additional North American dates for his “Off the Rails Tour,” a 53-night global run that begins this month and concludes in December.

Tickets for the added shows go on sale to the general public Friday, May 5, at 10 a.m. local time. An official fan club presale is already underway. For more information about the tour or to subscribe to the fan club, fans can visit his website, lewisblack.com.

In addition to the extended run, the two-time Grammy Award-winning comedian announced the release of a highly anticipated stand-up special titled “Lewis Black: Tragically, I Need You,” which will premiere on his YouTube page Tuesday, May 2, at 4:20 p.m. EST. According to a release, his new special “explores topics including his way of coping with the pandemic, his frustrations with the evolving world and, of course, his rants about the chaos of America these last few years.”

The comedian recognized for his trademark finger-pointing and rants poking fun at the absurdities of the world and people inhabiting it will kick off his tour at the Lexington Opera House in Kentucky and make stops in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Las Vegas, Southern California and New York before closing out at the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville.

Since July 2001, Black has headlined 579 shows, sold nearly one million tickets and grossed $43,254,664, according to box office reports submitted to Pollstar. The comedian performed at Dreyfoos Hall in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Dec. 9, 2022, and earned $119,923 off 1,865 tickets sold.
