‘I Love The ’90s’ Announces Annual Summer Trek; Rob Base Inks Exclusively With UAA
Rob Base has already been a mainstay of the “I Love The 90s Tour,” bringing his classic “It Takes Two” to the popular show with its rotating lineup of ‘90s icons. Now, he’s announced he’s signed exclusively for representation with Universal Attractions Agency, which also represents the tour.
UAA owner Jeff Epstein becomes responsible agent for Base, who found early stardom with DJ E-Z Rock in 1988 with their platinum-certified debut LP It Takes Two and its title track.
“Rob Base is a legend,” Epstein says of the signing. “We are thrilled to represent Rob, and it’s an honor to continue contributing to his accomplishments and legacy. We’re excited to welcome Rob to the UAA family.”
The seventh edition of the “I Love The ‘90s Tour” is headlined by Vanilla Ice and features top hitmakers of the decade including Treach of Naughty By Nature, Tone Loc, Mark McGrath of Sugar, All 4 One, Color Me Badd, Young MC, Blackstreet, Kid N Play, Montell Jordan, Sugarhill Gang, DJ Jazzy Jeff, C+C Music Factory featuring Freedom Williams, Tag Team, 2 Live Crew, DJ Kool, Young MC and, of course, Rob Base.
The 23-city tour launches May 13 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, and tickets are already on sale at the tour website. Check local listings for individual show lineups.
The arena-sized dance party will also make stops in cities including Chicago; Las Vegas; Pomona, California; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Irving, Texas; Atlantic City, New Jersey. A Canadian swing will bring the caravan to Edmonton, Calgary and Medicine Hat, Alberta.
“We started this seven years ago, and the fans just want more and more,” Epstein says of “I Love The ‘90s.” “We are happy to deliver! Thank you to all of the promoters who keep presenting the tour and all the fans who continue to support it!”
The blockbuster throwback tour originally launched in 2016, and was “an instant hit,” according to Rolling Stone. With more than 325 tour dates since its launch, it continues to be a fan favorite time and time again,
