Amy Corbin
Promoter,
C3 Present
The day of her scheduled Impact 50 interview, C3 Presents’ Amy Corbin has to cancel – which is completely understandable considering she is finalizing the lineup of Austin City Limits Music Festival. Its C3’s annual megafest tentpole which attracts some 450,000 attendees each year to Austin’s Zilker Park and notably won Festival of the Year honors at this year’s Pollstar Awards. And it is going to be hard to top 2022’s lineup led by headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers, P!NK, Lil Nas X, Kacey Musgraves, Paramore, The Chicks, SZA and Flume.
“This show has earned a dedicated audience that rivals any other festival in the country,” Corbin told Pollstar in March. “And to have both audience and industry recognition just reaffirms that we are delivering an unparalleled show and a great experience.”
Corbin, who in 2000 became Charles Attal Presents’ first employee, is a shining example of how hard work, dedication, innovation, strategic planning and professionalism can be their own rewards as she now\ co-leads one the world’s largest music promotion companies with C3 Presents responsible for booking more than 2,000 events a year.
And the company shows no sign of slowing down. In the last year, C3 has expanded its footprint significantly. It brought Lollapalooza to Mumbai, India, in partnership with BookMyshow. The global festival brand is now in eight countries on four continents including the U.S., Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France and Sweden. In July, C3 Presents locked in its contract with Chicago to host Lollapalooza at Grant Park for another 10 years. Additionally, C3 launched a number of new festivals, including FORMAT, an art and music festival in Bentonville, Arkansas; The FairWell Festival in Redmond, Oregon; and the country leaning Two Step Inn Festival in Georgetown, Texas.
Sure enough, as this issue went to press, C3 announced its ACL lineup: Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, Shania Twain, The Lumineers, ODESZA, Alanis Morissette and The 1975 – demonstrating that, once again, Amy Corbin and her team at C3 are best in class.
