Anuel AA, El Alfa Join Rolling Loud Miami Festival Lineup

This year’s three-day Rolling Loud festival in Miami, Florida, is going to be a historic one as organizers announced the inclusion of two Latin artists. Trap star Anuel AA and dembow standout El Alfa are the first from their respective genres to perform in what is known to be the world’s largest hip-hop festival.

The two Latin standouts will join an already stacked lineup that includes headliners Playboi Carti, Travis Scott A$AP Rocky at Hard Rock Stadium from July 21-23. Other artists on the bill include Lil Durk, Don Toliver, Bryson Tiller, Lil Yachty, Rae Sremmurd, Glorilla, City Girls, Offset and Turnstile. Kodak Black, 21 Savage and Lil Uzi will also be onstage as special guests.

Anuel AA is one of Latin music’s top stars with more than 35 million listeners on Spotify. The Puerto Rican rapper has had success as a headliner, grossing $20.1 million off 35 shows since November 2018, according to the Pollstar Boxoffice. Anuel AA recently performed a sold-out concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, and earned $1,066,536,

Dominican rapper El Alfa, known as the “king of dembow,” is a multiplatinum star who has worked with Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee and Lil Jon. He performed at New York’s Madison Square Garden in front of a sold-out show on Oct. 17, 2021, moving 12,728 tickets and grossing $1,445,511, according to reports submitted to Pollstar.

Rolling Loud, founded by Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif, is having quite the year, having hosted the first-ever music festival at Hollywood Park near Los Angeles in March that featured the return of Travis Scott to the big stage. The festival also made its way to Asia for the first time with Scott, Cardi B and Chris Brown performing in Thailand in April. Rolling Loud will also have events in Portugal, Netherlands and Germany this summer.
