Introducing Booking & Management Firm RoundTable Artists

ROUNDTABLE

Veteran booking agent Allen Roper is transforming his former firm The Art Agency into a new venture known as RoundTable Artists, which will serve as both a booking agency and management firm.

“The RoundTable represents the philosophy of partnership,” Roper said in a statement. “The recognition that we’re all in this together. Fostering healthy partnerships with our clients, but furthermore, with our promoters, artist managers, agents … and really, every vested interest involved. It truly does take a village.”

RoundTable Artists’ roster features acts from a variety of genres such as EDM, reggae, country, Americana and more. Clients include The Brothers Gillespie, crypto WAVE radio,  Eric Bolander, Funk You, Jaden Decker, Jimmy Wooten, Kyle Kelly, LITZ, Root Shock, ROXY ROCA, Sneezy, Tand, The Kind Thieves, The Talismen, Wayne Graham and more.

“Ever since our worlds collided years ago, I have been a huge fan of Allen,” said Ian Thornton, CEO of Whizzbang Booking and Management. “His thoughtfulness and philosophy around what he does is something that I very much align with and I couldn’t be happier to work with him, especially as he starts this next step with RoundTable Artists.”

Several of Whizzband Booking and Management clients are represented by RoundTable Artists including Darrin Hacquard, Charlie Brown Superstar, Jeremy Short, Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle and William Matheny.

Roper has more than a decade of experience as a booking agent. After starting his career in 2010 doing freelance booking, Roper started working with Hoplite Music in early 2012 and helped with career development for artists including Big Something, Dopapod, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Spafford, Turkuaz and others. Roper formed The ART Agency (with ART standing for Artists of the Roundtable) in 2017 and then two years later he joined Madison House as an agent. His journey to RoundTable Artists included reopening The ART Agency in 2020.

An additional statement from Roper explains that in late 2022 he realized he wanted to “build a supportive team where I could be in a position to better serve my clients, as well as embrace new opportunities as they arose.”

The team includes Jason Miles, who has spent 30 years in the music business including as a  longtime employee of Jay Goldberg Events. And then there’s Michael Krell, who is described as “Roper’s right-hand man and a junior agent with a growing roster of his own.”

Matt Kolinski – who serves as the co-manager of Goose and is a partner at APON Artists and Nectars Presents, as well as co-managing the bank Funk You with Roper – says: “It’s always a pleasure to work with this team. They are truly some of my favorite people and their professionalism is second to none.”
