Coldplay Announce 2024 Europe Dates
Following a sold-out summer run of European stadiums this year, culminating last night, July 19, with a fourth show at Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff Arena, Coldplay today announced a third run of European dates for June, July and August 2024, as part of their record-breaking “Music Of The Spheres World Tour.”
The dates, all listed below, include Coldplay’s first ever shows in Greece, Romania and Finland, as well as their first show in Rome since 2003 and first visit to Budapest since 2008, according to promoter Live Nation.
Coldplay’s “Music Of The Spheres World Tour” kicked off in March 2022, launching in San José, Costa Rica at the country’s Estadio Nacional, March 18-19, grossing $5,687,127 on 86,199 tickets across both shows, according to the Pollstar Boxoffice. The group completed 11 stadium performances before wrapping the three-week run with a four-night stint at Mexico City’s Foro Sol, April 3-4 and 6-7, grossing a massive $19.6 million at the stadium.

The tour ranks 7th on Pollstar’s Mid-Year Top 100 Worldwide Tours chart. In 2023 alone, Coldplay box office reports grossed $65.4 million, based on 11 stadium dates submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. The band’s average gross per show comes in at $5.9 million, the second-highest out of all the artists listed on Pollstar’s Mid Year Top 100 Worldwide Tours. The band also has the No. 1 highest-grossing show on Pollstar’s Mid-Year Top 100 Concert Grosses with their six sold-out dates at Estádio Cícero Pompeu de Toledo in São Paulo, Brazil, with a whopping 439,651 tickets sold grossing a total of $40.1 million.
Coldplay featured on Pollstar’s October 18, 2021 cover, for trailblazing a new approach to sustainable touring. Last month, a report by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology found that the “Music Of The Spheres World Tour” has so far produced 47% less CO2 emissions than their previous stadium tour in 2016/17 (on a show-by-show comparison), and that five million trees have already been planted around the world (one for each concert goer so far).
The ticket presale starts July 25, fans can register for access at Coldplay.com.
The presale will start at 9 a.m. local time in Athens, Bucharest, Budapest, Lyon, Rome and Helsinki, and at 10 a.m. local time in Dusseldorf, Munich, Vienna, and Dublin. The general sale begins at 10 a.m. local time for all cities on Friday, July 28.
