Cher is the latest legendary act to ink a deal with Irving Azoff’s Iconic Artists Group. The partnership will see Iconic “acquire, develop and expand her storied musical legacy to new generations of fans.”

Wednesday’s announcement notes that the deal “encompasses a range of music assets.”

Cher has sold more than 100 million records during her six-decade career and is one of the top ranked artists with Billboard US Hot 100 charted singles thanks to hits including “I Got You Babe,” “Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves,” to “If I Could Turn Back Time,” and “Believe.” The “Goddess of Pop” has conquered everything from recording, concerts, film, Broadway, television, and directing. Her accolades include a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, an Academy Award, three Golden Globe Awards, a Cannes Film Festival Award and the Billboard Icon Award.

“I’ve known Irving (Azoff) for 50 years. I am thrilled to still be friends and pleased to have Iconic on board to represent my past work in entertainment from music, TV and film. While I’m still working away, it’s good to have a long-time friend to honor and market what I’ve already accomplished these last decades,” Cher said in a statement.

Azoff, CEO of The Azoff Company and co-founder of Pollstar parent company Oak View Group, said: “I’ve been fortunate to count Cher and her sister Georganne as friends from my absolute early days arriving in LA where we all chased our dreams. Over the past six decades, Cher has transcended boundaries, reached the pinnacle in music, TV, and film, and became a global superstar. We are proud to work with the one and only Cher to extend her legacy and promote her talent to future generations.”

Jimmy Edwards, president of Iconic, also offered a quote: “Cher is easily one of the world’s biggest pop icons whose influence on popular culture is immeasurable. We are honored to add this beloved superstar to Iconic’s roster of artists.”

Cher ranked No. 35 on the Top Touring Artists of the Pollstar Era chart with a gross of $589 million and 6,975,802 tickets sold, based on headline shows performed between July 7, 1980, and July 1, 2022, as reported to and research by Pollstar.

Her most recent tour is the “Here We Go Again Tour,”  which launched in September 2018 and was forced to conclude in March 2020 because of the pandemic. The trek featured appearances at arenas across the globe including Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and London’s O2 Arena. Cher also played more than 100 residency dates between 2017 and 2020 with “Classic Cher” hitting Las Vegas’ Park Theater; Oxon Hill, Maryland’s The Theater at MGM National Harbor and Atlantic City’s Borgata Event Center.

Cher ranked No. 20 on Pollstar’s 2019 Worldwide Tours chart with $84.6 million grossed and 699,457 tickets sold.

The artists represented by Iconic include The Beach Boys, Dean Martin, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Nat King Cole, Linda Ronstadt, and Joe Cocker.
