Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Rissi Palmer has a new agency deal with Paladin Artists as well with Invasion Merch, a New York-based company that offers management, distribution, and merchandising services.

She’s built a Nashville career largely on her own as an independent artist in both country and Americana genres. The two signings are expected to help grow Palmer’s audience and build on the momentum she’s established since a 2006 Starbucks-released EP landed her among the top five best-selling country artists on iTunes. Her most recent album, Revival, was released in 2019 and she plans to return to the studio in the fall to work on new music for release in 2024.

But before she returns to the studio, Palmer is completing a touring schedule that’s placed her on festival stages including Live Oak Music Festival in San Luis Obispo, California, and includes upcoming appearances at Park City Song Summit in Park City, Utah; the Ear Scruggs Fest in Mill Park, North Carolina; and The Long Road Fest in Leiceistershire, UK.

“I am truly grateful for everything I’ve learned as both a signed artist and an independent artist,” says Palmer. “And, while I’m proud of the things I’ve been able to accomplish as an indie artist, I’m excited to see what new heights the relationship with these two reputable entities will take my career.”

Her agent, Paladin’s Kath Buckell, says, “Rissi is a phenomenal singer-songwriter and entrepreneur. She is a true authentic artist, and one that we are proud to be representing. We look forward to helping enhance her vision as she continues to inspire the next generations to come.”

Since parting ways with her previous label in 2010, Palmer has redefined success on her own terms. In addition to three critically acclaimed albums, she’s scored two Grammy nominations in the Best Children’s Music Album category. Palmer also hosts Apple Music’s popular radio show titled, “Color Me Country with Rissi Palmer,” now in its third year.

Earlier this year, Palmer’s “Still Here” documentary film was featured on PBS’ “American Masters: In The Making” series which focuses on artists whose work explores and influences American culture today.

She has performed at The White House, The Grand Ole Opry, and at New York City’s Lincoln Center and Apollo Theater. Palmer’s also Governor of the Recording Academy’s Nashville chapter.
