Officially dubbed “Westlife: The Hits Tour – A St Patrick’s Day Special,” it marks the band’s first-ever North American tour dates in an imprssive 20+ year career.
As the name of the tour suggests, Westlife will be performing their biggest hits, which include “Swear It Again,” “Flying Without Wings,” “World Of Our Own,” “My Love,” “If I Let You Go,” and “Hello My Love.”
Westlife will also make their U.S. television debut on “Good Morning America,” Aug. 21.
Westlife – Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Shane Filan and Mark Feehily – is Ireland’s most successful boy group. Formed in 1998, they rose to fame with their self-titled debut album in 1999.
Their impressive career includes 36 number-one albums worldwide, and a collection of awards including one World Music Award, two Brit Awards, four MTV Awards, and four Record of the Year Awards.
Westlife sold over 55 million records to date, and are the only band to have their first seven singles enter the UK chart on number one. Their incredible 14 number-one singles in total place the band only behind Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
As a live act, they have sold five million concert tickets worldwide and counting. Westlife kicked off their “Wild Dreams Tour” in summer 2022 performing across the UK, including a sold-out headline show at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium which was shown live in cinemas across the UK and Europe.
Other highlights from Pollstar’s Boxoffice for that tour include two sold-out OVO Hydro’s in Glasgow, Scotland, Nov. 19-20, selling 22,925 tickets for a $1,930,048 gross, two almost sold-out Páirc Uí Chaoimh stadium shows in Cork, Ireland, Aug. 12-13, (68,463 tickets, $5,776,955 gross), and two nights at Aviva Stadium Dublin, Ireland, July 8-9 (87,367 tickets, $6,796,194 gross).
