Sound Talent Group Adds Talent Agents Jon Pleeter, John Lashnits
Sound Talent Group, an independent agency launched in 2018, added even more experience to its agent roster with the hiring of Jon Pleeter and John Lashnits. Both veteran agents will work with the company’s vast and diverse signed talent, which includes Lamb of God, Hanson, Julieta Venegas, Hoobastank and GWAR.
Pleeter is based in Los Angeles and previously served as vice president of concerts at ICM, working with pop, rock, indie and electronic talent. He also worked as an agent at Creative Artists Agency for seven years. His client list includes Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton, Saving Abel, Saliva, Conquer Divide and Tommy Vext.
“I never had the privilege of getting to know Jon Pleeter very well until we started speaking to him about coming to STG. When those conversations started, I quickly realized he was someone I knew I’d grow to really respect and enjoy working with,” Tim Borror, Sound Talent Group partner, said in a statement. “In the time we’ve been working together, he has met all those expectations and more.”
Pleeter is just as enthusiastic to join the team, and credited Borror and agency co-partners Dave Shapiro and Matt Andersen for building “an atmosphere of collaboration, teamwork, and communication, all in service to and to the benefit of our clients. STG is truly a family, and I am pumped to be part of it.”
Prior to joining Sound Talent Group, Lashnits, who is based in New York, worked at APA and Paradigm Talent Agency, where he signed The Front Bottoms, Anamanaguchi and Basement. He will continue to work with his roster of 30-plus artists.
Lashnits said he “couldn’t be more excited” to join a “growing, music-focused company with experienced and knowledgeable leadership.”
