The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation Brings Back ‘The Event’ Fundraiser

NBA Hall of Famer and dubstep artist Shaquille O’Neal is hosting the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation’s third annual fundraising gala, “The Event,” presented by Pepsi Stronger Together on Oct. 7 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Actor and comedian Joel McHale is hosting this year’s event, which features a star-studded lineup that includes John Legend, Dan + Shay, DJ Pee .Wee (also known as Anderson .Paak), Jennifer Hudson, Ray Romano and Adam Blackstone.

The Event aims to fundraiser for The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation’s efforts with creating pathways for underserved youth in Las Vegas and Atlanta. The foundation partners with the Boys & Girls Clubs and Communities In Schools.

“We raised the bar last year, and The Third Event promises to do the same,” O’Neal said in a statement. “I’m so grateful to our entertainers who are once again donating their time. I know they will create a night of incredible music and comedy in a true testament to the power of unity to make a difference in the kids’ lives. I’m also excited to see familiar faces and new supporters alike, joining hands in the spirit of compassion to give back to the community. Let’s make this another night to remember!”

The fundraiser includes a private cocktail reception, dinner and live auction, followed by public live performances from the fundraiser’s announced guests.

Tickets for the fundraiser are currently on sale via AXS, with prices ranging from $50 to $250. Table sponsorships are available from $15,000 to $100,000.
