Kelsea Ballerini Announces First Major Arena Show
Kelsea Ballerini celebrated her big 3-0 birthday on Tuesday by announcing her first major arena show – a Nov. 2 show at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The big concert, dubbed “The Homecoming Show,” is extra special for the six-time CMA Female Vocalist nominee because Knoxville is where she was raised. The event features support from Ingrid Andress and Georgia Webster.
“Throughout the last decade and four albums, there has been a consistent ode to my hometown. Whether it be lyrically like in ‘half of my hometown’ or celebrating milestone moments in venues like my high school, the Tennessee Theater, or the Civic Center, it’s always been incredibly important to me to go back to the place that let me go to chase my dream. Playing Thompson-Boling has been on my bucket list since I was a little kid watching my favorite musicians come through town and is the perfect place to celebrate such a bookmark year and kick off a new level of touring,” Ballerini said in a statement.
Tickets go on sale to Ballerini’s fan club on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. Central Time. The general onsale starts on Friday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m.
The country star capped off her birthday by performing “Penthouse (Healed Version)” on MTV’s Video Music Awards. The tune hails from her EP Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, which was released in February.
The EP is nominated for Country Music Association Awards’ Album of the Year. She’s also up for Female Vocalist of the Year.
Other highlights from Ballerini’s year include three headlining theatre tours over the last 10 months, supporting Kenny Chesney’s “I Go Back 2023 Tour” and the success of her single “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)” hitting the Top 15 at Country radio.
Ballerini is managed by Sandbox Entertainment’s Jason Owen and booked by CAA’s John Huie and Marc Dennis.
Reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice for Ballerini include a June 28 show at Outlaw Field @ The Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise, Idaho, that was promoted by CMoore Concerts and
Knitting Factory Entertainment with 4,285 tickets sold and $270,056 grossed.
