Loud And Live Signs Rising Salsa Star Christian Alicea
Loud And Live is heavily investing in a subgenre of Latin music that is on the rise by partnering with one of modern salsa’s top singers Christian Alicea, who signed an exclusive booking contract with the Miami-based entertainment, marketing and content development company.
The team at Loud And Live, one of the largest promoters internationally that boasts an impressive roster of Latin artists, has noticed an uptick in airplay and streaming numbers when it comes to tropical music, and Founder and CEO Nelson Albareda believes Alicea can be the artist to reintroduce the genre and lead it into a renaissance.
“Loud And Live is pleased and proud to welcome Christian Alicea to our family,” Albareda said in a release. “Christian is an exceptionally talented young man who, because of his humility, charisma and spectacular and unique voice, we are confident that he will conquer and lead the tropical genre worldwide for many years to come.”
Alicea is a 27-year-old Puerto Rican native who barely began his career last year and burst onto the Latin music scene last year with hit songs “Cobarde” and “Vuelve. He then released his debut album Yo this year under the guidance of Urales Vargas. Known professionally as DJ Buddha, Vargas produced Alicea’s album through his independent label Therapist Music and believes Loud And Live will help the young Puerto Rican standout reach new heights.
“For us, having someone like Nelson see the vision and the potential of Christian means a lot, and to now count with the full backing of Loud and Live is the icing on the cake,” said Vargas, who has worked with artists such as Daddy Yankee, Pitbull, Lil Jon and Becky G. “We as a company are extremely excited for this new venture and with the help of Jorge, Damian, Omer and the rest of the top-rated team at Loud And Live, together with ours, the possibilities are endless.”
