Journey Celebrates 50 Years Of ‘Freedom’ With New Tour
Journey is keeping on the 50th anniversary celebrations of their iconic album, Freedom, with newly announced 2024 tour dates with support from Toto.
The upcoming trek kicks off on Feb. 9 in Biloxi, Mississippi and continues on through South Carolina, Alabama, Rhode Island, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Iowa, the Dakotas and more before wrapping up in Bridgeport, Connecticut on April 29. The upcoming tour adds 30 cities to their “Freedom Tour,” which features the bands biggest hits including “Don’t Stop Believin'” “Any Way You Want It,” “Faithfully,” “Lights” and more.
Journey and Toto set out on tour earlier this year to celebrate 50 years of Freedom, with highlights from the trek including a sold-out show in Bakersfield, California, on April 22 that grossed $962,499, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. The band also brought in $1 million for their show in Spokane, Washington, on April 14. Their performance in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 1 grossed $1.1 million.
Journey’s current touring members include Neal Schon (lead guitarist), Jonathan Cain (keyboards, backing vocals), Arnel Pineda (lead vocals), Jason Derlatka (keyboards, vocals), Deen Castronovo (drums and vocals) and Todd Jensen (bass).
Tickets go on sale starting Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers can access exclusive presale tickets tarting on Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. local time until Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. local time. Journey is booked by CAA worldwide.
