Colombian Band Morat Announce 16-Date Trek Across U.S. Arenas, Theaters

Morat, a pop band hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, announced they will be visiting the U.S. theaters and arenas early next year for a 16-city tour to promote their latest album, Si Ayer Fuera Hoy.

The quartet’s Live Nation-produced “Si Ayer Fuera Hoy Tour” will kick off at Rosemont Theater in Rosemont, Illinois, and make its way to venues such as Agganis Arena in Boston, New York City’s Theater at Madison Square Garden, Kaseya Center in Miami, San Antonio’s Boeing Center and The Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah, before wrapping up at YouTube Theater near Los Angeles in Inglewood, California on Feb. 25.

Fans can register for access to tickets via Ticketmaster to help block bots and scalpers and reduce resale. Registration is currently open through Oct. 8, and once it closes, fans will be randomly selected to receive a code that allows them to purchase tickets on Wednesday, Oct. 11, and Thursday, Oct. 12. Citi cardmembers can also unlock access to tickets and purchase them during the pre-order window on Oct. 11.

Morat — a group that has known each other since childhood and is comprised of Juan Pablo Villamil, Juan Pablo Isaza, Simón Vargas and Martín Vargas — burst onto the Latin music scene blending folk with pop in 2016 with their debut album Sobre El Amor Y Sus Efectos Secundarios, earning them a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. The band proved their success was no fluke with their 2018 follow-up Balas Perdidas, which was certified platinum and nominated for Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album at the Latin Grammys that year. Along the way, they garnered more than 15 million monthly listeners on Spotify and their videos have more than 5.5 billion views on YouTube.

The band is managed by Global Talent Services and has submitted 82 box office reports to Pollstar since May 12, 2016. Morat has sold 602,802 tickets and grossed $28.6 million since then, averaging $349,307 per show. They recently performed two nights, May 17 and 18, in Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, selling 29,829 tickets and earning $2,122,896. They also had two shows at James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida, on Feb. 19 and Feb. 23 that moved 8,406 tickets and grossed $610,511.
