Kilimanjaro Live Opens New Office In Wales

Stereophonics performing at Principality Stadium in their home country Wales, where Kilimanjaro Live, the promoter of the show, just opened a new office.

Kilimanjaro Live today announced the opening of a new office in Wales. The promoter’s new Welsh division is headed by Pablo Janczur.

Kili’s Welsh division “aims to facilitate an even bigger offering of live shows and entertainment into Wales, building on Kilimanjaro’s previous history with bands and projects, such as Stereophonics, Wakestock, and seminal shows with artists such as Ed Sheeran at venues including Cardiff Castle, Principality Stadium, Cardiff City Football Club, Morfa Stadium Swansea, Swansea Singleton Park and Wrexham Football Club,” according to the press release announcing the new office.

Stereophonics, for instance, sold out Principality Stadium in Cardiff, June 17-18, 2022, selling 101,619 tickets, and grossing $8,671,355 across both nights, according to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. Ed Sheeran, who performed in the same venue the month before, May 26-28, sold 185,490 across the three nights, grossing $14,993,314.

Pablo Janczur, head of the new division, has joined from former independent UK promoter Orchard Live, which ceased trading on Aug. 31 of this year. Across his 20-year career in the biz, Janczur has worked with artists including Simply Red, Pete Tong, Bryan Adams, Gerry Cinnamon, Lionel Richie, Queens of the Stone Age, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Diana Ross, George Ezra, and Sam Fender, among others.

Kilimanjaro Live CEO Stuart Galbraith said the entire team was “very pleased to welcome Pablo into the Kilimanjaro Live fold. His knowledge and energy within this sector is second to none, and to have him on board will bolster our live music offering across the country, linking in with Kilimanjaro Live in London, Regular Music in Scotland, and Singular Artists in Northern Ireland and Eire.”

Janczur, who’ll be straddling his time between the London and Welsh office, added, “I’m delighted to be Joining Kilimanjaro Live and bringing my experience and expertise in the Welsh market gained over the past 20 plus years. The inception of Kilimanjaro Live Wales also establishes parent company DEAG as a fully national tour operator. Co-CEO Detlef Kornett commented, “DEAG continues to grow successfully with Kilimanjaro. With the opening of the new office in Wales, Kilimanjaro will be able to act more flexibly as a national promoter and better serve the needs of visitors in Wales.
