Sunny War Announces 2024 North American Shows

Sunny War will be staying on the road in 2024 to continue supporting her New West Records debut Anarchist Gospel. The musician announced new dates for her current tour and will perform at intimate venues across the U.S. and Canada.

In addition to the new shows, War will support Mitski for three consecutive nights at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, from Feb. 26-28 and perform at 30A Songwriters Festival in South Walton, Florida, and the Cayamo Cruise, a sold-out event from March 1-8 that departs from Miami to visit Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and Oranjestad, Aruba. The 16^th edition of the cruise is headlined by Lyle Lovett and Lake Street Dive and features Bill Bragg, The Mavericks, Rodney Crowell and many more artists. War is also supporting Grammy Award-winning legend Bonnie Raitt at Austin City Limits in Texas this weekend.

War will be trekking to Europe this month and performing in venues such as London’s Slaughtered Lamb, New Morning in Paris, Francis, Madrid’s El Sol and Dublin, Ireland’s Grand Social before making her way back to the States. She will begin her 2024 run at The Earl in Atlanta, Georgia, on Jan. 11 and her route includes stops at Seattle’s Tractor Tavern, Milkboy in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh’s The Warhol and New York’s Joe’s Pub before wrapping up the headlining tour at WYLDE in Hudson, New York.

With Anarchist Gospel, which was released on Feb. 3, War shows her range as a musician and eclectic taste by melding folk, rock, blues and gospel. The album features collaborations with Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Allison Russell, Jack Lawrence of the Raconteurs and David Rawlings.

War, who was nominated for Best New Artist at this year’s Americana Music Association Awards, is repped by Prater Day in the U.S. and Canada and Ian Fintak of 33 & West worldwide excluding North America. She has seven headline shows reported to the Pollstar Boxoffice, including a Feb. 22 show at Joe’s Pub that sold 115 tickets and grossed $1,710. She has earned $67,366 and sold 2,372 tickets from the seven shows reported since 2009.
