More than 20 years have passed since Shazam revolutionized music discovery by giving smartphones the power to answer to the age-old question “What song is this?”. Now the app will link musical curiosity with the live experience.

Concerts, a new space in the app under My Music, launched October 25. It will provide personalized event recommendations based on each user’s Shazam history and location data. Users will be able to browse, search and filter by artist, date and location.

The app also gives users the ability to save and revisit events, set reminders and, with select artists, view tickets and exclusives including video, photos and set list information.

Today, Shazam unveiled Concerts, a new space in the app where music fans can discover upcoming concerts that are happening in their area.

It’s the latest concert discovery feature from Apple, which acquired Shazam is 2018. The tech giant’s live push included curated guides within Apple Maps and set list information within Apple Music.
