UTA Signs K-Pop Group KARD

K-pop group KARD is now being represented by UTA in North America, South America, the UK and Europe, the leading global talent, entertainment, sports and advisory company announced Nov. 1.

KARD features members Somin, BM, J.Seph and Jiwoo. The group first burst onto the K-pop scene in late 2016 with the single “Oh NaNa,” which hit No. 5 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. KARD’s success continued with the release of its first EP, 2017’s Hola Hola, with UTA pointing out that the project “ranked on the music charts in 32 countries in just three hours after its release.” The group’s latest EP is Icky, released in May on DSP Media.

KARD’s impressive social media stats include 3.6 million subscribers on YouTube, 3.4 million Instagram followers and 1.1 million Facebook followers, along with 20.41 million Spotify listeners.

Their accolades over the years include the Rookie Award at the Asia Artist Awards (2017), the New Wave Award at the Asia Artist Awards (2018), the Asia Rising Star Award at Korea-China Management Awards (2019), Best Co-ed Group at the Korea First Brand Awards (2019, 2020) and the Best Choice Award at the Asia Artist Awards (2022).
