88rising, a renowned music and media company that promotes Asian talent and culture, continues to build on what has already been a successful 2023 and announced the hiring of Mike Chuthakieo as its first-ever chief revenue officer.

Chuthakieo, who will report directly to CEO and Founder Sean Miyashiro, is tasked with leading and executing a worldwide brand partnership strategy. He will spearhead the development of commercial partnerships that will help 88rising grow as a company. Chuthakieo previously worked at Pinterest and launched entertainment and restaurant sales teams at that company. He has also held leadership positions at Pandora, Fox and Myspace.

“88rising’s explosive growth over the past years has been phenomenal to watch,” Chuthakieo said in a statement. “I’m humbled and excited by the opportunity to join the team and apply my expertise to continue broadening the reach of this cultural powerhouse.”

The appointment of a seasoned CRO comes on the heels of what was a year full of accolades for 88rising. The company’s flagship event, Head In The Clouds Music and Artis Festival, done in partnership with promoter Goldenvoice, celebrated its fifth year in August with a stellar lineup at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, near Los Angeles. 88rising, which held music festivals in the Philippines and Indonesia in 2022, expanded further in 2023, debuting events in New York City and Guangzhou, China.

88rising has also seen success with its roster of artists. Joji sold out his North American tour, which includes stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden and Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. NIKI also sold out her North American and Asian dates as well as Jackson Wang.
