Zeds Dead Announce Biggest East Coast Shows To Date With Hampton Coliseum
Zeds Dead announced they’re heading over to Hampton, Virginia, for “Deadbeats: First Contact” at the Hampton Coliseum on April 12 and 13, marking the duo’s biggest event on the East Coast to date.
The show stands apart from the recently announced return of their “2 Night Stand Tour,” which finds them spending two nights at iconic venues in Colorado, Idaho, Texas, Washington and Missouri throughout February and March, the sets spanning their 13-year career. They will also be spending three nights at the Salt Shed in Chicago in December.
“Deadbeats: First Contact” will feature specifically curated production for the Coliseum, creating a unique experience with different sets each night. Further artists performing during the event will be announced in the coming months.
Speaking with Pollstar earlier this year for a cover story, Zeds Dead and their team emphasized their touring cycle is not dependent on album cycles. Rather, they prefer to deliver annual shows that fans can continue returning to.
“We’ll do them differently, change venues or scale up or present them as two or three shows instead of just one,” Zeds Dead’s booking agent, Cody Chapman, told Pollstar earlier this year.
With their annual three days in Denver around the Fourth of July, which grossed a total $1.6 million with four shows, they perfected their touring formula.
“We go to the same places every year, and we’re doing it because we’re growing our fans,” Zeds Dead’s manager, Adam Gill, CEO and founder of 2+2 Management, told Pollstar earlier this year. “Just put on a good show, bring in great production, make the shows awesome. Then come back, do it again bigger. Our approach is we want to have a real, long-term relationship with our audience.”
Artist and venue pre sale begins Nov. 30 with general on sale beginning Dec. 1.
