Andrea Bocelli Celebrates 30th Stage Anniversary At BST Hyde Park

Andrea Bocelli is the first headliner confirmed for BST Hyde Park in London next year. The Italian superstar will perform in the capital’s famous park on July 5 – a UK exclusive, according to promoter AEG Presents.

Andrea Bocelli’s career is beyond impressive, thanks to a large part to his crossover appeal. Bocelli has collaborated with iconic opera singers such as Pavarotti, but also pop stars including Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Tony Bennett, Dua Lipa, and Céline Dion, who once said, “If God had a singing voice, he would sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.”

His 2024 performance at BST Hyde Park will be a celebration of a unique 30-year, that is quantified by some 90 million records sold, and a collection of trophies that includes a Golden Globe, 7 Classical BRITs, and 7 World Music Awards.

Jim King, CEO of European festivals at AEG Presents, said, “We have wanted to host Andrea Bocelli in Hyde Park for many years and so it’s a great honour for us that we are able to share this special moment with him and his loyal fans. There can be no bigger occasion for all music than experiencing the world’s greatest tenor in London’s Hyde Park.”

Andrea Bocelli commented, “In and of itself, it should be a private celebration: a career spanning 30 years, 30 years – a lifetime! – spent on stages around the world, striving to brush with beauty and offer my voice to those who wish to hear it, as part of the soundtrack of their lives. I am delighted to see how today this anniversary has become a celebration for many: a collective way to celebrate three decades of music and excitement, of memories and feelings, that can bloom to life to the notes of a score each time.

“Hyde Park is the perfect place for coming together to celebrate my 30th anniversary and reimagine it as a springboard propelling us into the future, imbued with positivity and the power of good. Celebrating it here is sure to be unforgettable, in the vast green lung from which London has been drawing breath for hundreds of years, in this park that is the embodiment of a glorious chapter in the history of a nation, of a continent, of a civilization…and also of so much wonderful music that has rung out here, nourishing it in its wake.”

Tickets, starting at around £100 ($124) for general admission standing on July 5, when Bocelli performs, are on sale.

Andrea Bocelli is represented worldwide by Klassics Music Management Limited, and his own management business Almud Edizioni Musicali. North American partners are Wasserman Music, as well as Maverick Management.

Rock Werchter, Belgium’s main event, has unveiled its first two headliners, which are Måneskin on Friday, July 5, and Dua Lipa on the Saturday, July 6.

Three-time Grammy and six-time BRIT Award winner Dua Lipa has been headlining Europe’s biggest festivals for a while, which doesn’t make her 2024 appearance at Rock Werchter any less special.

The two newly announced headliners join Foo Fighters, who’ve been confirmed to close out Rock Werchter 2024 for a while now. Ticket sales for the event, which runs July 4-7 next year, go on sale on Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. local on rockewerchter.be.
