Avenged Sevenfold’s ‘Life Is But A Dream’ North American Tour Adds Third Leg
Avenged Sevenfold is continuing their “Life Is But A Dream Tour” with a new leg featuring support from Poppy and Sullivan King. The new dates kick off on March 6 at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York with stops in Toronto; Cleveland, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; Raleigh, North Carolina and more before wrapping up at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on March 31.
The band is continuing to utilize TicketPass, a new blockchain based verification and rewards system that was created by the band and Bitflips. In order to access the tickets, fans will set up a MetaMask or Coinbase wallet, and a TicketPass will be airdropped.
“TicketPass will by no means cost anyone any money, you won’t have to get involved in cryptocurrency, you won’t have to do any of these things that people feel uncomfortable with, and the token that we’re going to be using is on the Polygon network — an environmentally-friendly blockchain,” the band’s M. Shadows said in a statement. “We want to roll something out to the rest of our fan base without them having to opt into a full fan club experience that is strictly for tickets and ensuring our fans get the best tickets they deserve first.”
The band is continuing to test out the service, and requests that fans who utilize it return feedback.
“At the end of the day, we want to know your feedback on if this worked well for you, and we will take notes and mold this for you,” M. Shadows said. “Look at this as a frequent flier miles type program — with Avenged Sevenfold, we will be breaking these passes into ‘tiers’ over time and rewarding the people who have been participating the most in our A7X ecosystem (with merchandise, listening habits, music consumption, live events and other metrics).”
Presale via the Deathbats Club and TicketPass runs until 10 p.m. ET on Nov. 28. General on sale begins Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. via Live Nation.
Avenged Sevenfold is booked by CAA. Reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for the band include an Oct. 15 show at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, that sold 10,946 tickets and grossed $872,873. – Ariel King
