UK/Euro Lineups: New Skepta Fest, Anniversaries For Rock En Seine, Rock In Rio & Flow
The 2024 festival season is shaping up fast. Here’s the latest roundup of lineups announced across Europe.
UK
LCD @ APE
LCD Soundsystem have been been confirmed to headline All Points East in London this year. The U.S. rock stars will take over Victoria Park on Friday, Aug. 23.
Sharing the bill with LCD Soundsystem that day will be Jai Paul, Pixies, Floating Points, Jockstrap, Nation Of Language, Sofia Kourtesis (Live), Eyedress, and Vagabon.
All Points East, which takes place across two weekends, with free community focused entertainment in-between, is name-sponsored by Uber One this year.
The news of LCD Soundsystem heading to London follows previously announced headliner Loyle Carner, who will take the stage on Saturday, Aug. 17, along with special guests Nas, Ezra Collective, Sainté, Joe James, Enny, and Navy Blue.
All Points East 2024, promoted by AEG Presents, will run Aug. 16-25, 2024. A presale for American Express customers launched today, Dec. 1 and runs until Dec. 5. Tickets go on general sale at Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. local time, starting at £54.95 ($69.55), plus booking fee, VIP tickets start at £99.95 ($126.50), plus fees.
Skepta Curates Big Smoke Festival
Festival Republic is launching a new festival at Crystal Palace Park just outside of London, July 6. The new event is called Big Smoke Festival, and will be curated by Mercury Prize winner Skepta.
So far, Skepta himself has been confirmed to perform on both of the festival’s stages, headlining the main stage, and taking over the second stage together with Jammer and their house outfit Más Tiempo.
Many more artists will be announced in due time, GA tickets currently go for £72.80 ($92), VIP packages are available starting at £127 ($160.75).

Lytham Festival Unveils Lineup
Lytham Festival returns to Lancashire, England, July 3-7, for five nights of music, promoted by Cuffe & Taylor.
Hozier, Madness, Courteeners, and James, accompanied by the Orca22 Orchestra, and the Manchester Inspirational Voices Choir, will all headline what promoters call “the North West’s biggest music festival.”
Brittany Howard, pop icon Rick Astley, British music legend Johnny Marr, and English pop-rock outfit The Kooks also join the bill as special guests and support artists. A fifth headliner and special guests will be announced soon.
Lytham Festival co-founder Peter Taylor commented, “We love to announce the line up for Lytham Festival and once again, I am delighted we are going to bring an eclectic mix of artists to Lytham Green next summer. From the opening night with Hozier to closing with James, and Courteeners and Madness in between, there really is something for everyone. Mixed with that is a list of amazing special guests and support artists who will appeal to a wide range of music fans and make for very different but equally as brilliant nights.”
Tickets for each night, starting at £53.20 ($67.34), are on sale. A standard five-day pass currently goes for £275 ($348). VIP offers, hotel packages, and more are available, too.
Desertfest Unveils Lineup
Desertfest London, which returns for its 12th edition, May 17-19, has unveiled the first wave of its 2024 lineup.
The bill includes Suicidal Tendencies, Masters Of Reality, Godflesh, Ozric Tentacles, Bongripper, Monolord, Acid King, Ufomammut, Brant Bjork Trio, Maserati, Mantar, Mondo Generator, Cloakroom, Monkey3, Nightstalker, Blanket, Ashenspire, Domkraft, Astroqueen, Pijn, Sunnata, Wake, Sugar Horse, Stinking Lizaveta, Wet Cactus, Psychlona, Kadabra, Darsombra, Sergeant Thunderhoof, Saint Karloff, Kal-El, Gozer, Lord Elephant, Goblinsmoker, Acid Throne, Duskwood, Borehead, Orme, Clouds Taste Satanic , Sagan, Warpstormer, Sonic Taboo, and Wizdoom.
Weekend tickets starting at £164.73 ($208.50) are on sale. Day-tickets will be released in January, along with the next wave of artists to play Desertfest 2024.
Junction 2 Expands To Three Days
Junction 2 will expand to three days next year, when it returns to Boston Manor Park, on the outskirts of London, July 26-28.
It allows organizers to add more artists and broaden the scope of their musical programming. The first wave of confirmed artists includes Artbat, CamelPhat, Adam Beyer B2B Amelie Lens, Jeff Mills, Paul Kalkbrenner Live, Jon Hopkins, The Blessed Madonna, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Daniel Avery B2B Sama’ Abdulhadi, Honey Dijon, and Barry Can’t Swim Live.
Spain
Sónar Unveils 70 New Names
Sónar has announced the next wave of artists to perform at the festival’s 31. edition in Barcelona, June 13-15, 2024.
Charlotte de Witte (presents ‘Overdrive’), Kaytranada, Jessie Ware, Vince Staples,
Ben Böhmer live, Floating Points, The Martinez Brothers are among them. Aside from the music, Sónar 2024 will include masterclasses, debate forums, professional meetings, and an exhibition of creative-technological projects.
Tickets are available now. A standard Sonar Pass starts at €185 ($202), plus booking fee, the VIP version costs €300 ($328), plus fees.
Sónar has expanded in recent years. The 3rd edition of Sónar Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal, goes down March 22-24. The confirmed lineup includes 2manydjs invite Éclair Fifi & Erol Alkan, Sevdaliza, Shygirl presents ‘Club Shy’, Bonobo DJ set, Eliza Rose, TOMMY CASH, Tiga & Hudson Mohawke present ‘Love Minus Zero’, Oneohtrix Point Never, and CC:DISCO.
Sónar Istanbul returns to Zorlu Performing Arts Center in Istanbul, April 26-28, for the eight consecutive Turkish edition. The lineup hasn’t been announced yet.
Primavera Sound’s Full Lineup
Primavera Sound, scheduled to take over Barcelona’s Parc del Forum, May 30–June 1, has unveiled the first wave of artists.
Lana Del Rey, SZA, Pulp, Vampire Weekend, Mitski, Charli XCX, Justice, PJ Harvey, The National, FKA twigs, Disclosure, Bikini Kill, Deftones, Troye Sivan, and many more will perform at what will be the 22nd edition of Primavera Sound.
Phoenix will perform on the free Wednesday, May 29, and the Brunch Electronik party will close Primavera Sound 2024 on Sunday, June 2.

Scorpions Join Rock In Rio Lisbon Lineup
Rock In Rio celebrates its 10th edition since being launched 20 years ago next year, across two weekends: June 15-16 and 22-23, taking over a new venue, the stunning Parque Tejo Lisboa.
German rock legends Scorpions will take part in the the celebrations on June 15, joined by Evanescence, Extreme, Xutos & Pontapés and The Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra on the bill.
As previously announced, Ed Sheeran will headline Rock In Rio Lisbon on June 16 – ten years after performing on the festival’s main stage for the first time. Sheeran is joined by Calum Scott, Jao, and Fernando Daniel on the day.
This concludes the lineup for the first weekend at Rock in Rio Lisbon.
“With the line-up for the first weekend already revealed, we are preparing a truly unique and memorable musical experience to celebrate the festival’s two decades in Portugal. While the first day of the World Stage will bring the iconic sounds of Scorpions, Evanescence, Extreme and Xutos & Pontapés with the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra,the second day will be headlined by Ed Sheeran, Calum Scott, Jão and Fernando Daniel. Superbloom Turns Three
Superbloom, scheduled to take place Sept. 7-8 at Munich’s Olympic Park, confirmed the first wave of artists to perform at the festival next year.
The list includes Sam Smith, The Chainsmokers, Louis Tomlinson, Kenya Grace, Tokio Hotel, Nothing But Thieves, and more.
The ticket pre-sale for Superbloom, promoted by Goodlive, has started. Two-day tickets are available from €209 ($228). So-called “next generation tickets” for 16 and 17-year-old visitors are offered at a discounted price of €119 ($130), and Kids tickets for guests aged 6 to 15 are priced at €49 ($53).
Summerjam Gets Lost In Good Vibes
Summerjam is shaping up for its 37th edition in Cologne, July 5-7, with a lineup led by German rap star Sido, Busy Signal, and Ky-Mani Marley.
In massive news to German rap fans, Marsimoto, the alter-ego of former Pollstar cover star Marteria, will perform one of his last live gigs ever at Summerjam 2024.
This year’s Summerjam motto is “Get Lost In Good Vibes.” Tickets start at €175 ($191), plus €10 ($11) presale fee, which includes camping.
First 11 For Elbjazz
Elbjazz in Hamburg has announced the first eleven names for next year, when the renowned jazz fest will take over Hamburg’s port, June 7-8.
Jungle, The Streets, Badbadnotgood, Belle & Sebastian, L’impératrice, Betterov, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Ed Motta, Nubiyan Twist, Kit Sebastian, and Ilgen-Nur form the first wave of artists.
Early-bird two-day tickets start at €119 ($130), day tickets for Friday cost €85 ($93), for Saturday €95 ($104). All prices include fees.
Mera Luna Lineup Complete
Mera Luna, according to promoter FKP Scorpio Europe’s biggest goth fest, has completed its lineup for 2024, when the event returns to the airfield Hildesheim-Drispenstedt, Aug. 10-11.
VNV Nation, Deine Lakaien, Hämatom, Deathstars, London After Midnight, Combichrist,
Zeraphine, She Past Away, The Cassandra Complex, [x]-Rx, S.P.O.C.K, Future Lied To Us und Centhron. Hell Boulevard, Schwarzer Engel, Erdling, Eden Weint im Grab, Rroyce, Steril, and Extize are all part of the Mera Luna bill.
Tickets start art €155 ($169).
France
Rock En Seine Turns 20
Rock En Seine will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year, Aug. 22-25, at Domaine national de Saint-Cloud in Paris, France.
Already confirmed are Fred again.., LCD Soundsystem, Måneskin, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, The Offspring, Soulwax, Róisín Murphy, and The Smile.
Commenting on this milestone anniversary, Rock en Seine director Matthieu Ducos, said, “20 years after starting the festival we’re very excited to announce the first bands of the line up of the next edition, mixing the most talented artists we had for our very beginning in 2003 (PJ Harvey and Massive Attack) and some of the hottest talents at the moment (including, Fred again.. and Måneskin). This year we’ll make sure the festival shines like never before in the wake of the flame of the Olympics in Paris during summer.”

More Names For Rock Werchter
Rock Werchter has announced the next batch of artists, who will be joining the party at the Festival Park in Werchter, Belgium, July 4-7, 2024.
Lenny Kravitz, Sum 41, Yungblud, Royal Blood, Avril Lavigne, Michael Kiwanuka, Nothing But Thieves, Royal Blood, The Last Dinner Party, and more are among the latest wave of artists.
They join previously announced Foo Fighters, Dua Lipa, Måneskin, Khruangbin, and more.
A variety of Rock Werchter 2024 tickets are now on sale, including VIP and camping offers. The standard four-day combi tickets start at €309 ($337.69).
Nordics
Flow Festival Turns 20
Flow Festival in Helsinki has a big anniversary coming up, Aug. 9-11, 2024, when the event returns to the Finnish capital for its 20th year.
Fred again.., Pulp, The Smile, Jessie Ware, Denzel Curry, Kenya Grace, and PJ Harvey have been confirmed to lead the anniversary celebrations alongside a host of local talent, such as ibe, Arppa, and Antti Autio.
Three-day tickets for Flow Festival 2024 start at €229 ($250).
Lenny Kravitz Finally Makes It To Tinderbox
Lenny Kravitz will also perform at Tinderbox 2024, scheduled for June 27-29 in Odense, Denmark.
The rock star was originally scheduled for the 2020 edition of Tinderbox, which got cancelled for well-known reasons. At Tinderbox 2024, he’ll be joining Avril Lavigne, David Guetta & MORTEN present Future Rave, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nicky Romero, and more.
Festival CEO Brian Nielsen commented, “We’re extremely happy to have Lenny Kravitz back on the poster, after the pandemic forced us to cancel in 2020. Lenny Kravitz is one of the most inspiring artists of our time and continues to put his mark on the global music scene. We can’t wait to see what kind of magic will appear when he takes the stage at Tinderbox next summer.”

Also in Denmark, in Aarhus specifically, Northside is gearing up for its next edition, June 6-8, 2024.
The Smile lead a lineup of ten new names, including Slowdive, Jehnny Beth, The Clockworks, Blanco White, and Vince Staples.
Tickets are on sale.
Roskilde Adds 23
Denmark’s biggest festival, Roskilde, has added another 23 names to its already impressive lineup for the 2024 edition, which will go down June 29–July 6.
Among them are Aurora, Kara Jackson, Róisin Murphy, and Skrillex, who join previously announced Foo Fighters, PJ Harvey, Kali Uchis, and more.
Full festival tickets for Roskilde 2024 start at DKK 2,400 ($352), day tickets sell for DKK 1,200 ($175.89).
East Europe
Lenny Kravitz Plays Colours
Lenny Kravitz is performing at several festivals this year as part of his 2024 tour, and Colours of Ostrava, July 17-20, in Ostrava, Czech Republic, is one of them.
Kravitz joins previously announced Sam Smith, Queens of the Stone Age, Tangerine Dream, Bat for Lashes, Sevdeliza, Dennis Lloyd, Gogol Bordello, Bixiga 70, Mercedes Peón, James Blake, and Khruangbin.
Tickets are on sale, including general and VIP four-day passes for €161 ($176) and €470 ($513), respectively.
