CTS Eventim & Walter McDonald Launch The Touring Co. In The U.S.
CTS Eventim is expanding its U.S. business by joining forces with Walter McDonald to form The Touring Co.
McDonald will lead the new business, which CTS Eventim described as “a boutique live entertainment company,” as CEO, as well as a minority stakeholder. He joins from Outback Presents, where he previously led the touring division.
The Touring Co. “will allow CTS Eventim to strengthen its position in the US touring market and further afield,” the press release announcing the new business reads, with McDonald as “the creative and entrepreneurial force driving the development.”
The Touring Co. brings CTS Eventim’s worldwide network of active promoters (Eventim Live) up to 39. Number 37, and 38 were also a U.S. businesses: Mammoth and AG Entertainment Touring, which both entered into a strategic partnership with CTS Eventim in March this year.
