After a successful run in 2023 with his “Emociones Tour,” Latin urban singer Jay Wheeler announced he is going back on the road next year with “TRAPPii Tour,” a 14-date trek across the U.S. that will feature not only classic hits from the artists’ catalog but also the latest singles from his latest album TRAPPii, which was released in October.

The tour, produced by independent promoter Loud And Live, will kick off in New York on June 13 and includes stops in Reading, Pennsylvania; Charlotte, North Carolina; Rosemont, Illinois; and Los Angeles, California, before wrapping up in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 27. Tickets will be available Thursday, Dec. 14, and can be purchased at TrappiiTour.com.

Wheeler, who was featured on the cover of Pollstar in March, promises his upcoming tour will be “an unforgettable experience” that balances his trademark romanticism with reggaeton beats.

“I am absolutely thrilled to embark on this U.S. tour and bring my music directly to my fans,” Wheeler said in a statement. “This tour is not just about performing my greatest hits but also about connecting with the audience on a personal level through my latest singles from TRAPPii. I cannot wait to create special moments together!”

Following his 2016 rendition of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself,” a recording that went viral and inspired the singer to pursue a career in music, Wheeler quickly ascended in the urban scene by staying true to himself and delivering sentimentality and emotion in a genre that usually glorifies life on the street. That willingness to express vulnerability in his lyrics helped the Puertorriqueño amass a dedicated following and more than 19 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Wheeler has released six studio albums, and his massive hit “Curiosidad,” which features DJ Nelson and Myke Towers, is approaching 1 billion streams on Spotify. The Latin trap star has collaborated with artists such as Feid, Mora, Reik, Lenny Tavarez and Farruko.

Wheeler is managed by Dynamic Records and Linked Music and repped by AUL Touring and Talent Agency. Since Nov. 26, 2021, he has grossed more than $7.6 million off 18 headline shows reported to the Pollstar Boxoffice. He recently performed at YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California, on Aug. 31 and sold 2,325 tickets, grossing $224,667. One of his most successful concerts this year was at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, on Valentine’s Day. The sold-out show grossed $821,479 off 9,511 tickets.
